Branch Of Wisdom

Today I thank the Lord for the dinner hour, that blessed time of gathering around the table for physical and spiritual nourishment, of fellowship together as a family, of prayer and Bible study as brothers and sister (yep, just one "sister") in the Lord.

O magnify the LORD with me,
And let us exalt His name together.

Psalm 34:3 nasb (emphasis mine)

Thank You, Lord, for our dinner hour.

  1. That is a wonderful blessing, indeed! Most times it's me and the boys, since dh gets home late; but we enjoy the time together and the break from homework and tasks!

Thanks for sharing this blessing with us today!
    Love you,
    Lori

  2. This is such an important time in our family...since we home school my boys and I always eat together, but the dinner hour is extra special because daddy is home and so is their little sister :)

    The food looks delectable! :)

  3. Christine, I love your pictures! What type of a setting do you use to get that faded look? I wish I could make my pictures look like that!

  4. Theresa, I use a Canon camera (Eos 40D), and the lens is a 50mm f1.4 portrait lens. I open the f-stop all the way to 1.4, which produces the narrow focus and blurry background. And thank you!!

    Love,
    Christine
